APOCALYPSE Z, though, is one I’m going to keep in my box to re-read on occasion the eloquent writing and sharp descriptions resulted in some of the most stunning, chill-inducing moments I’ve ever experienced in a zombie novel. Either everyone dies at the end or there’s hope for a new beginning. Lone or few survivors fight zombies and each other, revealing humanity’s ugliness. Infected become zombies who can spread through biting.
